It has been great to see our families gather, exercise, and play at Hockinson Middle and High Schools over the past few months. However, the reopening of HSD schools will come with some changes - and by “changes” we mean restrictions.
One of these restrictions is not new:
To ensure staff and student safety, our campuses are closed to the public while school is in session (8:30 am - 4 pm) and practices are in progress. Our community is welcome to use our facilities prior to 8:30 am and, if available, after 4 pm.
The other is new:
A gate has been installed at the entrance to the Hockinson Community Center and Hockinson Middle School.
Due to illegal late night activities in our parking lot, this gate will be locked nightly at 8 pm as will the HHS main gate, effective tomorrow March 6. You are welcome to use both sites before 8 am, 7 days a week. Both gates will be open by 6:30 am Mon-Fri and 8 am on Sat & Sun. To access these campuses before 8 am on the weekends you will need to park:
In the Transition House parking lot off of 159th St. to access the middle school.
Along Parkinen Rd. and enter on foot to access the high school.
Please do not access either campus after 8 pm.
